IS CHRISTMAS OVER FOR YOU? When packing away Christmas decorations, especially lights and tree items, it's important to do it carefully so they stay in good condition for next year. Here are a few tips:

Lights: Instead of tossing them into a box, wrap your string lights around a piece of cardboard or a spool to keep them from tangling. You can also use zip ties to secure the cords.

Tree: If you have an artificial tree, disassemble it carefully and store the pieces in their original box or a storage bag. For a real tree, make sure to clean up any loose needles before packing it up.

Ornaments: Wrap fragile ornaments in tissue paper or bubble wrap and store them in a sturdy box. You can also use egg cartons for smaller ornaments to keep them separated.

Taking the extra time now will save you from headaches next holiday season when you’re ready to decorate again!
