db design is the evolution of Darren Brown, namesake and Managing Director of the company. Darren is a local Bass Coast resident with strong links to the community through his involvement with Wonthaggi Power Football Club, and a keen surfer. Darren has exceptional knowledge and understanding of building methods, good design principles and the construction industry which he has developed through c
ountless hours of consultation, exploration and investigation. Beginning his career as a Building Surveyor/Inspector and gaining invaluable qualifications and knowledge of all aspects of commercial and residential building practices, his passion for the building industry grew. After approximately eight years in this position, Darren moved into the building design and drafting field and in 1996, db design was formed in San Remo. As business grew, and with an expanding family, Darren moved into his HIA Accredited GreenSmart custom designed office and display home at 47 Graham Street, Wonthaggi where he and his team create from today. His designs are found throughout the Bass Coast and surrounding areas embracing strong design philosophies which make them sought after liveable homes and functional, stylish buildings. db design's unique ability to connect with each client's individual desires and styles, whilst embracing sustainable building methods create a result which is loved by clients and recognised by professional organisations such as the Building Design Association of Victoria and the Housing Industry Association. We also have an extensive and experienced group of building industry professionals at our disposal who bring their expertise to every project as required, such as Project Management, Energy Ratings, Soil Testing, Engineering, Interior and Lighting Design.
