We spent the day removing the old deck at Goulding Hill Preschool. With a bit of Tetris packing we managed to get the whole deck in the trailer as well as the pavilion we knocked over yesterday 🛠️☺️ #

🐔 Behind the scenes of our chicken coop makeover!

There’s a lot more that goes into creating a chicken coop than what you see in the finished photos. From removing the old structure and preparing the area, to measuring, cutting, building and installing each section—it was a hands-on transformation from start to finish.

Every detail was carefully considered to create a coop that is safe, practical and easy for educators and children to use, while giving the chickens a comfortable new home.

Plenty of hard work, teamwork and problem-solving went on behind the scenes—but we loved watching this little coop come together, Tradie Ladies style! 🛠️🐓💗

A little revamp for this soon-to-be veggie patch 🥬🌱

We built a raised decking area for the compost bin and worm farm, then upcycled posts removed from an existing structure to frame the garden and create a clearly defined space.

A practical and sustainable transformation—now it’s ready for planting! ♻️🪱

🐔 Chicken coop makeover complete! 🌿

This tired little coop has been transformed into a secure, practical and inviting home for the centre’s feathered friends. With refreshed black timber, protective wire panels, a spacious outdoor run and fresh planting, it now fits beautifully into the natural playspace.

More than just a chicken coop, this space gives children hands-on opportunities to care for animals, build responsibility and learn about sustainability and the natural world. 🐥🌱

🐔🔨 DAY 2: THE COOP GLOW-UP IS UNDERWAY!

Out with the old and in with the new! 🙌

Today was all about demolishing the tired old chicken coop and getting the brand-new coop installation underway.

The old coop has officially had its last cluck 😂🐓 and we’re already loving seeing the new space start to take shape.

Because apparently even the chooks deserve a Tradie Ladies renovation! 💪🛠️🐔

Stay tuned… Day 3 is where things really start coming together! 👀✨
