We’re pleased to be working with Barossa Veterinary Service to bring their new purpose built veterinary hospital in Nuriootpa to life.

The new 850sqm facility will replace the existing Railway Terrace clinic, creating a larger, modern hospital designed around animal wellbeing, client experience and staff comfort.

Planned to resolve current space and noise constraints, the design supports calmer journeys for pets and more efficient workflows for the clinical team. Key features include separate cat and dog waiting areas, consult rooms with access to outdoor grassed spaces for anxious animals, a dedicated grieving room, central pharmacy and lab, advanced surgical and imaging facilities, and provision for future expansion, including a CT scanner.

The project also invests heavily in staff experience, with a first-floor hub providing offices, meeting spaces and amenities that support collaboration and wellbeing.

We look forward to progressing delivery on site and sharing milestones as this important regional project takes shape.

St George Vets have been on the same site since 1946, making them one of Sydney’s oldest small animal clinics. Over the years it had been added to again and again, and it was ready for a fresh start.

Cyclo was proud to partner with the team to deliver a brand new, modern hospital designed around what matters most: great workflow, calm spaces and a welcoming experience for clients, pets, and staff. The layout flows naturally from reception through consults, pharmacy and lab, into treatment and surgery. We also focused on hard wearing, sustainable finishes built for real clinic life.

The result is a light, airy hospital with natural light, high ceilings and a timeless palette. Plus separate dog and cat wards, dedicated workstations and improved circulation that supports the team on busy days.

A huge thank you to Shelton Smith and the incredible staff at St George Vets for the trust, collaboration and care you brought to the process. It was a pleasure building this with you.

RSPCA NSW engaged Cyclo to design and deliver a new, purpose-built Equine Adoption Centre at their Hunter Shelter in Rutherford, replacing their existing horse yards with a safer, more efficient facility that supports intake, care and rehoming.

The new equine precinct includes custom stable blocks, 13 paddocks and clearly defined movement paths that improve safety, capacity and daily workflows for horses, staff and visitors. Designed to support everything from initial veterinary assessment through to adoption, the centre enables more horses to remain on site and creates a calm, welfare-focused environment for long-term care and rehoming.

VECA partnered with Cyclo to bring to life a 24/7 emergency veterinary centre. When work began, the site was a blank slate, a spacious, empty warehouse with soaring ceilings and a concrete floor. The finished space now includes two fully equipped surgical suites, five consultation rooms, an X-ray room, a veterinary station for four staff, and a treatment area with five tables.

For the patients, the dog ward features three large dog runs along with several individual cages, while the cat ward provides a calm, separate space with its own set of enclosures. All clinical areas were fitted with oxygen and active scavenging systems to support high-quality care.

Security was a top priority, with the installation of internal and external surveillance cameras and swipe card access for internal doors.

The entire project was completed in just three months, we’re so happy with the outcome!

So pleased with our recent fitout for Pendle Hill Veterinary Hospital!
The newly transformed space is open and spacious, with high ceilings that enhance the sense of light and airiness throughout the clinic.
Designed with efficiency and comfort in mind, the fitout includes consult rooms with direct access to the pharmacy. The open-plan treatment area has been designed for optimal patient care, with recovery cages positioned in the heart of the space, allowing vets and nurses to keep a close eye on patients at all times. Large windows throughout the pharmacy and consult rooms ensure that natural light penetrates deep into the clinic from the expansive windows in reception. This enhances visibility and also creates a bright and uplifting environment for both staff and patients.
The clinic features separate cat and dog waiting areas, creating a stress-free environment for pets. A dedicated cattery provides a quiet and comfortable environment for boarding cats. Additionally, a unique staff pet photo wall personalises the space, celebrating the team’s passion for animal care.

So happy to have partnered with Rochester Veterinary Clinic on their recent major expansion and refurbishment.
This unique transformation involved converting a historic church and an existing vet practice into a modern, spacious veterinary clinic.
The fit-out included the addition of five spacious consultation rooms. To enhance the clinic’s natural ambiance, six skylights were installed, flooding the space with natural light and creating a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The result is a thoughtfully designed facility that supports both the clinic’s growing needs and the comfort of its clients and their pets.

We had the pleasure of bringing the North Geelong Veterinary Clinic to life, a bright, modern, and welcoming space designed with both pets and people in mind. This light-filled, double-storey clinic combines functionality with comfort, creating an environment that feels open and spacious.

On the ground floor, we’ve included four consult rooms, an X-ray room, and dedicated isolation areas, along with separate cat and dog wards. There are also dog runs and recovery cages, all thoughtfully arranged around a central nurses’ station and theatre to keep everything within easy reach. Large windows flood every room with natural light, creating a calm, soothing environment where vets can work efficiently and pets can feel more at ease.

We also added a specialised dental room equipped with an extension arm X-ray and custom joinery designed to house client cages, making dental care easier and more organised. Throughout the clinic, we installed specialised lighting and dedicated outlets to support monitoring equipment and larger veterinary tools.

Upstairs, the space is just as thoughtfully designed for the team, featuring a conference room, staff kitchen, manager’s office, and workstations. We made sure everything is convenient, with easy access to toilets and showers for added comfort during busy shifts.
