The kitchen is the heart of any home.

It's where we find sustenance. It's a hub of social activity and is one of the most visited areas of any home, morning, noon, and night!

When it comes to designing your dream kitchen we recommend thinking about the main focal points and how they tie together. Your kitchen cupboards and benchtop present a themed, cohesive design to your homes occupants and visitors and there are a number of things to consider in choosing your benchtop's look and feel.

According to Houzz you should always think about:

🍷 Budget: some bench materials can become quite costly, so ensure to keep affordability in mind

🍷 Function: how often you'll be cooking in and cleaning you kitchen can be an influential factor. Some materials can be porous and prone to staining, meaning they'll need more upkeep!

🍷 Size: how big will your kitchen island and overall bench space be? will you need multiple slabs with pesky joints or can you source oversized slabs in a particular material?

🍷 Aesthetics: how do you want your kitchen to look and how does that fit in with the overall design of your dream home?
