Smoke alarms save lives 🔥

It only takes a few seconds each month to test your smoke alarms, but those few seconds could make all the difference in an emergency.

Queensland smoke alarm laws are changing, with all homes required to comply by 1 January 2027. Homes must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms installed in bedrooms, hallways and on every level of the home.

A few simple reminders:
• Test your smoke alarms monthly
• Replace smoke alarms every 10 years
• Keep alarms clean and dust free
• Never remove backup batteries
• Ensure your home is compliant with current Queensland legislation

A good reminder of why regular inspections and maintenance matter.

The old property pole on the ground had completely rotted from the inside out, creating a serious safety risk for the overhead mains supplying power to the property. If left any longer, there was a real chance the mains could have come down completely.

Our team safely replaced the damaged pole with a brand new pole and completed the changeover to keep the property safe and compliant.
