Kennedia nigricans always reminds me that footy finals are approaching. Must be something to do with the striking yellow and black flowers 🏉
It’s a fast growing native climber with eye catching flowers and glossy green leaves.
We planted this on a rusty rebar screen to create a “green wall” effect along a driveway fence. It’s doing its job beautifully. Wait another month if so and it’ll be covered in blooms.

The berries of the Nandina domestica are so pretty but don’t be fooled, they are highly toxic to dogs and cats.

Enjoy their beauty but keep them well out of reach of curious pets 🐕 🐈

Delicate in appearance but wonderfully wild at heart. Hakea decurrens provides safe shelter within its spiky foliage and sweet nectar during the winter months for our small native birds such as honeyeaters, thorn bills and wrens 🥰
