02/10 — QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.

There’s something pretty satisfying about stepping back from a completed job and knowing you’ve given it everything.

I’m not interested in just ticking boxes and moving on to the next job.

Whether I’m working with electrical cables or moving dirt, I want the finished product to reflect the effort that’s gone into it.

The little details matter. Even the ones the client might never see.

Because at the end of the day, it’s my name attached to the work.

And that means something to me.

🐀 RODENTS + ELECTRICAL CABLES = BAD NEWS! ⚡️

If you’ve got rats or mice running around in your roof, do yourself a favour and get onto it!

We see far too often the damage these little buggers can cause to electrical wiring, and the headaches (and bills 💸) they leave homeowners, landlords and tenants dealing with.

Here’s a perfect example from a recent call-out in Bellingen. 👇

We were called out after a light circuit kept shorting out, causing sparks at the switch and tripping the circuit.

After fault finding, we traced the issue to a faulty exhaust fan. We isolated the fan, made the circuit safe and organised a replacement.

Fast-forward to our return visit to install the new fan, and we discovered something else…

The cable feeding the fan had been absolutely SHREDDED! 🐀

Rodents had chewed through the cable insulation, exposing the conductors and creating a short circuit. More than likely, this was also what caused the original fan to fail.

New cable installed, new exhaust fan fitted, circuit tested and everything back up and running safely. ✅

The takeaway?

Rodents in your roof aren’t just a pest problem. They’re a potential electrical and fire hazard.

If you suspect you’ve got unwanted visitors living in your roof, get them sorted before they turn a relatively small problem into a bloody expensive one.

STORMWATER DRAINAGE ✅💦

A bit of trenching at Fernmount, helping out some good mates with their stormwater drainage and retention pit.

One thing we definitely didn’t have to worry about on this job was natural fall! Plenty of that on offer with this steep block. 😂

And if you’re wondering why the trench has a few twists and turns, there’s a method to the madness! 👌

Every swerve was intentional, following the boundary to avoid tearing up the beautiful grass walkway.

Because sometimes the best way to get the job done isn’t the most direct way.

If we can save your lawn, landscaping or existing surfaces, we will! Sometimes it’s unavoidable, but a little extra thought and planning can make a massive difference to the finished result. 🤝
