The Neptune is finished! Only thing to do is one final check, to see if there’s any touch ups to do, that I’ve missed & add a couple of photo-etch antennas, which will be the absolute last thing to do. I might add a little more to the exhaust staining, which is quite prominent on Neptune’s, most likely I’ll add some grey to the staining.

I broke my wrist at work 9weeks ago & although I’ve had lots of time at home, I just couldn’t move it enough to do much in the way of modelling. So I’ve only been able to do bits & pieces until recently. The cast certainly limited hand movement, all good now, so need to get cracking on some builds.

This is Tamiya’s 1:48 Mosquito I’m doing for a commission build. I’ve used Cutting Edge resin cockpit, which needs to have part of the original front fuselage cut off. The resin replacement cockpit comes with new fuselage front halves, with detail moulded in place & seats, floor, radios & a few other small details. I’m almost ready to glue the halves together, just a couple of minor paint touch ups to do before hand.

Work continues on the Superliner, just working on the weathering. Just progress pics atm. The good thing is, you can adjust the weathering as you go along, take too much off, just reapply some more onto it. I work in stages & then, stop. Work on something else, then look at it again, with fresh eyes. It’s time consuming & it plays not to rush. This isn’t completed yet, still very much in progress.

I’m starting the weathering of the Superliner log jinker. It’s a messy process, but simple to do👍

I’m slowly getting to the finish line with the Lancaster. Undercarriage/bomb bay doors are now fitted. Once the bombs are in, most of the details will disappear!🙄. I’m waiting on some brass gun barrels to turn up, I’ve got resin ones, which look great, but are easily snapped off. The brass ones are so much better & have great detail👍

I wasn’t going to post this yet, but decided to. It’s the start of a T610 Kenworth. I’m not into modern trucks in any great way, I much prefer older trucks, they’ve got more character, that’s just my view. However, I happen to drive a T610 for a living, so thought I’d build one. I’ve got other builds to finish first, so I just work on this occasionally.
