PROJECT COMPLETION || SAAS Gawler Ambulance Station

We're proud to share the successful completion of the new Gawler Ambulance Station for SA Ambulance Service! This facility more than doubles the capacity of the former station, with space for up to five ambulance vehicles and two light fleet vehicles. Designed with future expansion in mind, it also includes multiple administration offices, rest areas, and a dedicated training room.

We're excited to see this project strengthen the Gawler region's health infrastructure and support the vital work health professionals continue to do for the community.

We’re excited to announce that our RSPCA SA Animal Care Campus project has been entered into the 2025 Master Builders SA Builders SA Excellence Awards, under the Commercial/Industrial Building $20m-$50m category.

Completed in 2024, this landmark $25m development redefines the standard for animal care in South Australia. Constructed on a 72,000sqm site, the new Campus features a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital for domestic and native animals, adoption and retail spaces, purpose-built accommodation for sheltered animals, administrative offices, and a dedicated education and training centre.

Magill Village Vet 🐾

We’re proud to have recently completed Magill Village Vet and to join the team in celebrating its official opening.

This special project saw the transformation of the former Magill Police Station (c1909) into a brand new, purpose-built veterinary clinic. Carefully planned alterations and additions were undertaken to respect the heritage of the original building, while delivering a modern, functional space to support veterinary care for the community.

A huge thank you to our team – Toby, Geoff, Andrew, Emma & Daniel – who brought this project to life. Your dedication, skill, and attention to detail have been key to delivering such a high-quality result! And to our wonderful clients, Jenni and Warren – thank you for your trust, collaboration, and vision. It’s been a pleasure working with you both!

Congratulations on your beautiful new clinic – here’s to many happy pets and a thriving new chapter in this historic space.

Geoff, or 'Dad' as he is affectionately referred to by many, has been with Cook Building for 8 years!

He loves a chat and loves a laugh, creating a positively infectious enthusiasm around site (as well as being disruptively infectious when he unwillingly has to spend time in the office!)

Geoff gets heavily invested in every project. He cares about the results, but he genuinely cares about our people and our subbies. He loves to take people under his wing and share his experience, always welcoming the younger team members (which is most).

From all the team, thanks a lot for being an important part of Cook Building for the last 8 years!

Lock-up by Christmas

Thanks to the amazing Cook Building team we have reached the major milestone of being lock-up by Christmas - apart from the "tiny" hole in the roof.

At this stage we are on track for handover in March - this is all very real now!
