Georgie has made a significant contribution to a wide variety of projects across the practice, building a reputation for her strong communication skills, thoughtful leadership, and ability to navigate complex project challenges with confidence and professionalism. Having first gained experience working on projects at Cabra Dominican College, Georgie now leads the delivery of a diverse range of projects and is a trusted member of the team.

Georgie joined R&Y in late 2019 as a student and has continued to grow into an accomplished project contributor and emerging leader within the practice. A natural communicator, she is known for her patience, considered responses to complex problems, and her ability to bring people together to achieve positive outcomes. Her well-structured approach and highly efficient planning skills have made her an invaluable asset across the office. As she steps into this new role, we look forward to seeing the continued impact she will have on our projects, our clients, and our team. Congratulations, Georgie, on this well-deserved promotion to Associate at Russell and Yelland. 🎉

Russell and Yelland wish to mark the passing of John Victor Russell on 7th June 2026. John joined the firm founded by his father, Alec Russell and Keith Yelland, in 1966 after time working in the Department of Works and with Architects Co-Partnership in London, and was a director from 1970 to 2000.

John was a talented designer with an extensive knowledge of construction and a rigorous but fair approach to contract administration. His unwavering ethical compass and commitment to social justice permeated his professional life and his extensive community service, enlivened by his wicked sense of humour. He mentored the next generation of Russell & Yelland staff, teaching them the importance of client relationships and fair dealing.

We extend our sympathy to Barb, Bill and Allison.

It's great to see the new Antonio Catholic School Upper Primary Building standing proud on Bains Road, giving The School a new public face. This project is entered in the upcoming Australian Institute of Architects 2026 Education Awards (SA Chapter) and into The Learning Environments Australasia Design (LEAD) Awards. We have loved presenting this project and speaking about the impact its had on the school and their community.
