Out on site today making sure nothing gets hit that shouldn’t.

There was already services running straight through where the work was planned, so we stepped in, located everything properly, and adjusted the plan before anything went wrong. Hole dug, site cleared, and the client’s good to go.

On site with the YMCA making sure everything is clear before works begin.

Today’s brief was simple - locate any underground assets before a new flagpole goes in out front. Using GPR and service locating, we identified a cable running from the electrical pit across the driveway, along with a potential fire water main sitting right where the original hole was planned.

Position adjusted, risk removed.

Our team then excavated to spec, confirmed the area was clear, and handed the site back ready for install next week.

No surprises. No damage. No delays.

The GPR is then used to identify any other services that are non conductive ie, PVC, AC and concrete pipes. Our GeoRadar GPR projects transmitted waves into the ground which creates a reflected wave of a buried asset below the surface. The display screen records the data which is then interpreted by our locators.

Hydro Excavation Operator - Full-Time Position

Location: Bundaberg, QLD (Serving Wide Bay Region, Rockhampton, Emerald, and Surroundings)

GeoRadar Australia Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated and skilled Hydro Excavation Operator to join our expanding, dedicated, family-based team in Bundaberg. You’ll be working alongside our experienced operators and DBYD-certified cable & pipe locators, playing an important role in the daily operations of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate hydro excavation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with the general maintenance of vehicles and machinery.
• Travel and work across the Wide Bay region, Rockhampton, Emerald, and surrounding areas, with occasional overnight stays.
• Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Requirements:
• A current MR or HR license is preferred.
• White card for construction site safety.
• Some experience with machinery and an interest in hands-on work.
• A proactive and safety-focused attitude.
