To the dads who stand up.

The ones who get up in the dark. Who take the call at 2am because someone else’s house is under water. Who miss half a Sunday so a family they’ve never met can have hot water again.

Our trade is full of them. People who were taught properly by someone who cared enough to do it, and are quietly passing the same thing to their kids without ever calling it a lesson — show up, do it right, don’t leave a mess behind you.

Happy Father’s Day to every dad on our team, and to all the dads out there.

Meet Amber — Your Plumber

For Amber, one of the best parts of the job is seeing how much it means to a customer when their plumbing problem is sorted.

She wants people to feel comfortable having her in their home and, by the time she leaves, like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Building that trust matters — not just trust in Kiely, but trust in Amber as their plumber.

Since joining Kiely, Amber says she’s learned to go above and beyond. Sometimes that means fixing the problem in front of her. Other times, it’s taking the time to find the right solution for the customer.

For Amber, **done properly** is pretty simple: do it right, meet the standard and leave behind work she’d be happy to have in her own home.

Away from plumbing, the important things are family, friends, her partner and soccer.

You can’t deliver a great experience without looking after the people delivering it.

So for breakfast, the tools stayed in the vans for a little longer while the whole Kiely team sat down for breakfast at Little Riva Cafe in Turners Beach.

Time together matters. Strong teams communicate better, care more and take that same energy into every home they walk into.

Meet Liam — Your Plumber

For Liam, a good job starts with solving the problem and making sure the customer understands what happens next.

He wants every customer to feel informed and looked after. That means explaining what’s been done, keeping the work neat and tidy, and respecting their home from start to finish.

One thing Liam has discovered at Kiely is how much he enjoys training others. Passing on what he knows and helping someone else improve is something he’s become better at — and something he gets a lot out of.

For Liam, done properly means more than getting the plumbing right. It’s neat work completed with the customer’s vision in mind, looking after their property and leaving them happy with the result.

And away from work, it’s pretty simple. Family and loved ones matter most. Stay true to yourself, look out for others and be a good bloke.

Meet Tom — Your Home Plumbing Guide

For Tom, the best part of the job is turning a stressful situation into a simple fix.

Whether it’s stopping a leak, getting the hot water back on or clearing a blockage, he enjoys seeing that moment when a customer goes from worried to relieved. It’s about saving them time, looking after their home and giving them peace of mind.

When Tom steps into a customer’s home, he wants them to feel respected, safe and reassured. That means shoe covers, a tidy work area and clear explanations — so when he leaves, they know what was fixed, why it was fixed and what to look out for.

One of the biggest things Tom has learned at Kiely is to look beyond the quick fix. Find the cause, understand the **why**, and sort the problem properly rather than putting a bandaid over it.

Today marks the start of an exciting journey as Ruby begins her school-based apprenticeship with the Kiely team.

We're proud to support the next generation of plumbers by giving young people the chance to learn real skills, build confidence and discover what a career in the trades can look like. We can't wait to see Ruby grow, ask plenty of questions and get hands-on alongside our team.
