SPRING INTO ACTION FOR FIRE PREVENTION

We'll soon be commencing our fire season preparation including:

👉 roadside vegetation management program
👉 mowing and preparing parks, reserves and open areas
👉 Council’s Fire Prevention Officer working with the SA Country Fire Service to deliver community education events to residents

If you own a larger rural property, now's the time to:

👉 create fine fuel breaks of five metres along your boundaries
👉 graze paddocks
👉 trim lower branches up to a height of two metres and remove excess bark, grasses and weeds from around the bases

After a wet winter season, vegetation is growing across the district so preparation is key.

The predicted warmer spring could also mean a flush of growth leading into the warmer months.
