Position Title: A-Grade Electrician
Location: Gippsland, Victoria
Reports To: Operations Manager/Director

Position Overview.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated A-Grade Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and solar systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining residential and commercial electrical installations. They should also be knowledgeable about new construction and the service and maintenance of buildings.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical and solar PV systems, including battery storage solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, plans, and specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in solar PV systems, switchboards, and general electrical installations.
• Work closely with the operations team to plan and execute installations efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service, explaining system operation and maintenance to clients.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety (OH&S) policies, always ensuring safe work practices.
• Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in solar energy.
• Complete required documentation, including compliance certificates and system commissioning reports.
• Install, maintain, and repair structured cabling for building automation and other systems.
Skills & Experience Required
• A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria).
• CEC Accreditation for solar installation (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, coaxial cabling, networking and Audio/Video solutions (preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage, and renewable energy solutions (preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Working knowledge of AS/NZS electrical standards and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to use digital job management software (SimPRO) or willingness to learn.
• A current driver’s licence.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Working at Heights and First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
