🥁 How fun is this! The Amazing Drumming Monkeys are heading to the Tree Giveaway Family Fun Day this Sunday 28 June — and it's completely free!

There's so much happening at Woodcroft Community Centre from 1:30–4pm: kids yoga, face painting, ochre hand painting with Spirit of Unity, Sophie Thomson from Gardening Australia, local sustainability stallholders, and more.

Pre-registered trees are sold out, but uncollected trees will be available to Onkaparinga residents from 2:30pm — so it's still worth coming along!

💪 We're doing WHAT?! Arborgreen is officially taking on the Push Up Challenge for mental health — and yes, our arms are already nervous.
This year, our team is pushing (literally) to raise awareness and funds for mental health support. Every rep counts, every dollar matters, and every groan from sore muscles is worth it.

That’s a wrap on Landscape Show 2026 🌿

It was fantastic to connect with so many customers, industry partners, and people who are just as passionate as we are about creating greener, more sustainable urban landscapes.

A huge shout out to the team at Landscape Victoria for putting together another outstanding event and bringing our industry together once again.

And a special thank you to Jason Summers and the team at Remarkable Trees for creating the incredible ‘pop-up forest’ around the Arborgreen truck — helping us bring a little more green to the show floor.

These native tubestock plants are grown right here in our Council nursery, ready to find a new home in your school grounds! 🌳🏫

The wonderful Green Adelaide southern education team, hosted within Council, can:

Since the program kicked off in 2023, 28 lucky local schools have planted over 1000 trees and shrubs! 🌳✨ Many chose to involve their youngest students, giving them the chance to grow with their tree. One young planter said: "I haven’t done this before. It’s fun. In 10 years’ time I’m going to come back and check on my tree.” 💚 Heart-warming!

Another major advantage of Flex MSE? Speed of installation.

This site went from heavily scoured banks to structurally sound in just two days on-site.

Day 1 focused on preparation — shaping the creek profile and filling the Flex MSE bags. Using an excavator, the team cut the bank to the required depth and form, setting the foundation for a stable build.

Day 2 is where it all comes together.
Flex MSE units were installed by LCS Group across the most heavily impacted areas.
Each unit combines:
1. A geotextile bag (the “brick”)
2. A recycled plastic plate (the “mortar”)

Together, they create a mechanically stabilised earth system that locks everything into place while still working with the natural environment.

The bags were installed to create a smoother, more controlled curvature — helping guide stormwater flow through the channel, rather than allowing it to aggressively scour the banks again.

When traditional solutions were limited, Flex MSE provided a practical, adaptable alternative — delivering stability now, while setting the site up for a greener, more natural outcome long-term.

Next step? Vegetation.
