‘Proudly Painting Geelong since 1938’, Shayne’s grandfather Erwin (Joey) Hope first began providing professional painting services in 1934 and not
long after started the Hopes Painting business. In 1968 Shayne's Father Robert Hope followed in his Fathers footsteps and continued the Hope's Painting tradition for the next 33 years. Over the 33 years Robert apprenticed his four sons Darryn, Joel, Shayne & Justyn, teaching them how to produce a high quality painting finish as well as property maintenance and repairs.
2011 saw Shayne's younger brother Justyn and his wife Lynne run the family business for the next ten years. After leaving school, Shayne began working in the family business before branching out on his own in 1993, with the Torquay painting services business, City to Surf Painting. In 2011 Shayne and Shari-Anne bought out the Hopes Painting business, merged this with City to Surf Painting and launched the successful Hope’s City to Surf Painting. Nowadays, Hope’s City to Surf Painting services all of Geelong, Torquay and surrounding areas including Anglesea,Jan Juc, Lorne, Aireys Inlet, Ocean Grove, Lara, Inverleigh and Bannockburn.
