Thank you, Winnie - 5 years today!

Winnie joined us in October 2021 on the Koojan Downs project in WA. Originally from France, she was working her way around Australia when she came on board, and we're so glad she decided to stick around!

Over the last 5 years, Winnie has taken on a range of roles and challenges, proving herself to be a valuable part of the team. Her hard work and determination have seen her progress into her current role as Concrete Production Manager & Project Manager.

Mastering a second language while developing new skills on the job is no small achievement, and Winnie has certainly risen to the challenge.

Thanks for being part of the journey, Winnie. We appreciate everything you do!

Capital Hill Feedlot

Works are underway on an exciting new feedlot development in Central QLD, incorporating Greenline automated livestock feeding technology.

Our scope includes the construction of purpose-built feedlot infrastructure, including plumbing, drainage, and fencing. We're also constructing custom feed bunks designed to accommodate an automated feed mixing and delivery system supplied by DOM Distribution - Agriculture through its Greenline feeding solutions division.

The feed bunks also incorporate columns to support custom roof cover by Tuff Sheds

What a great few days at BeefEx 2026 last week!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see us — it was great to connect with new and familiar faces across the feedlot industry. We also enjoyed exhibiting alongside the BK Civil Group team.

A big thanks to ALFA BeefEx Conference for another fantastic event, with a strong line-up of speakers, industry discussions and social events throughout the three days.

Congratulations to Zac McGee from Mort & Co, named Young Lot Feeder of the Year, and to the Feedlot of the Year winners:

🏆Under 3,000 head: Waggaba Feedlot
🏆3,000-8,000 head: Cadelga Feedlot
🏆Over 15,000 head: Sapphire Feedlot

Congratulations to everyone involved.
We look forward to doing it all again on the Gold Coast in 2028!

Project Flashback | Blackall Saleyards

Back to 2017–18 & a major upgrade completed at Blackall Saleyards.

PFIS designed & delivered the upgrade, including demolition of the existing facilities, earthworks, plumbing & drainage, electrical works, more than 500m² of concreting, a new weighbridge & drafting system, overhead walkways, scale house and covered work areas.

The project presented plenty of challenges, with works completed over the Christmas shutdown & drainage requiring careful planning due to the extremely flat site.

This was also our first weighbridge installation & before we had our own fabrication facility, everything for the project was fabricated onsite.

A good project to look back on & one that reflects how our capabilities have continued to develop over the years.

We’re excited to be exhibiting at BeefEx 2026 on the Gold Coast later this month.
If you’re heading along, come and visit the PFIS team at Booth 27–28 and say hello!
