Once the location was marked and excavated, the culprit was exposed — a leaking poly fitting buried beneath the concrete.

Accurate leak detection means less digging, less disruption and no unnecessary concrete cutting. 🙌

💧 Another hidden leak tracked down and repaired! 🔎

Using tracer gas and specialised leak detection equipment, Joel was able to accurately pinpoint this leak beneath the concrete.

Once located, the team got to work using vacuum excavation to access and repair the leak from the side, avoiding the need to cut through the concrete and keeping disruption to the property to a minimum. 👌

This one was hiding beneath a concrete slab, so finding the exact location was key before any unnecessary digging or cutting.

Using compressed air through the water line, we were able to force air through the leak and detect it coming up through the concrete, pinpointing exactly where the problem was hiding. 💨💦

When the water meter says you’ve got a leak, it’s time to bring out the big guns. 💧💪

Initial leak found at the council side of water meter. 2nd leak somewhere in complex of over 20 units 😱

60kg of hydrogen tracer gas, leak-sniffing equipment, Joel on the acoustic gear, then a vac dig to expose and repair the pipe.

🚨 Hidden Leak Found Under Concrete 🚨

What looked like a leak wasn’t actually where the leak was located.

Our technician Joel used specialised acoustic listening equipment and camera locating technology to accurately pinpoint a water leak beneath a concrete slab. Interestingly, the wet patch visible on the exposed aggregate wasn’t directly above the leak—it was caused by water runoff travelling underground and seeping up through the surface elsewhere.

Without the right equipment, this could have led to unnecessary excavation, costly repairs, and a lot of mess.
