The countdown is over. The GB-Art Show is tonight!
While you're exploring the artwork on display at this year's GB-Art Show, be sure to keep an eye out for something special hanging in our studio.
Recently installed, our new RAP artwork is a meaningful addition to our office and an important reflection of our commitment to listening, learning and building stronger connections with First Nations peoples and communities.
Created by First Nations artist Ailsa Walsh from Wulkuraka Designs, 'Walking on Country' reflects the relationship between people and the landscape that Brisbane sits upon. It reminds us that the river, cliffs and country beneath the city continue to shape how we move, think and create. The work encourages us to see ourselves as part of the landscape rather than separate from it, and to recognise that the land holds memory, knowledge and stories that came long before us.
This piece will become a permanent part of our studio, serving as a daily reminder that our work is stronger when we respect and learn from the Country on which we live and work.
