Today we celebrate our beloved first‑born daughter, Kaela. A young woman who has, over a lifetime, made an extraordinary contribution to DBS and to all of us who are part of it.

From the early years, when school holidays meant staying home while Mum and Dad worked, and you so willingly entertained yourself and your little sister … to more recent times, where your initiative, intelligence, and determination have helped transform our operations.

Your work in establishing our construction estimating and reporting software, along with implementing our new accounting system, has moved DBS forward in leaps and bounds. Your impact is woven into the very fabric of how we operate today.

We are endlessly proud of the woman you have become - a dedicated rural nurse at Emerald Hospital, a loving new wife to Darcy, a wonderful sister to Sophie, and above all, our treasured daughter. Watching you grow into such a capable, compassionate, and beautiful young woman has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.
