Cornwall is really one of the coolest parts of the UK for an action holiday - especially if you love the outdoors. We have just had a lovely family week. Here are some highlights. We visited a farming friend on the South coast with the most stunning views from their house, saw their collection of lemon trees (they sell lemons to posh London restaurants) and met their painter son.

Emma Dalton had fun painting in the rain on Watergate Bay beach where we used to go when the kids were little. Barney Dalton finally got to kite there but had a frustrating time with tangled lines while we had extreme hot chocolates.

We explored a very cool cave with Theis amazing deposit of copper oxide

Daughter in law and daughter had a cold dip there.

We did a great walk from Polzeath to Port Quinn and the sun shone.

We had fun on a ski boat with Camel Ski - some of us wake surfed and some of us watched (or filmed).
