Biotao Landscaping, ecology & agriculture services to South-East Queensland and Northern NSW.

History
Originally established by Leo Perkins in 2015 in the N.S.W/QLD border ranges, biotao operated primarily within the sustainable agricultural sector. In response to changing market conditions, we broadened our business in 2020 to expand and formalise our core offering to include landscaping and garden maintenance, as well as ecology design and maintenance services. Our knowledge of ecology i

n productive and none productive zones provided a unique perspective to the challenges of landscaping, garden and ecology maintenance that has been welcomed by informed customers. Location
While our primary base of operations is based in the city of Ipswich in South-East Queensland. We support clients as far south as the New England and Northern Rivers regions to as far north as the Sunshine Coast and Somerset Regions. We reach from the east coast all the way to the Toowoomba and Southern Down regions. Programmed garden maintenance services are operated primarily in South-East Queensland. Why Biotao
It is Biotao's belief that sustainability can be achieved in our lifetime. We recognise that achieving this has significant challenges for individuals and organisations. There are many generations of inertia in the ways that we have been doing things that have been unsustainable. We seek to support organisations by offering products and services that support individuals and organisations to make the sustainable option the easy one.

Agroecology is a scientific discipline, a set of practices, and a social movement. As a science, it studies how different components of the agroecosystem interact. As a set of practices, it seeks sustainable farming systems that optimise and stabilise yields. As a movement, it pursues food sovereignty and the rights of communities.

For the average Australian, understanding agroecology is crucial for several reasons.

Why do we have an Acknowledgement of Country
Everything we do as an organisation is rooted in our own kinship with the land. A key to our kinship is also respecting and honouring the kinship First Nations people have with Country.

Honour the kinship with Country.
