Due to the current fuel crisis our Golf Day has been postponed, however we’re coming together to keep the fundraising spirit alive for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service with a mini fundraiser.

Join us for a Community Chip 4 Chopper challenge – ALL WELCOME!

Tenterfield Golf Club – 7th Hole
3:30pm Thursday 12th March

Take on our chipping challenge, where players will chip into a drum floating on the dam — and there are prizes to be won!

Come down, have a chip, to help support this incredible service that is there for our community when it matters most.

We understand many of our Golf Day sponsors and players are unable to attend, and we truly appreciate your ongoing support. We’ll be in touch soon with a new date for the 2026 Chairty Golf Day event.

Townes Group is seeking an experienced Truck & Dog Driver for a long-term position. We are looking for a dedicated team member who works well in a team environment, strives to excel in their role, and takes pride in their work and equipment. We are passionate about what we do and value the same dedication in our team.

About the role:
- Operating Truck & Dog on civil and quarry-related works
- Immediate Start
- Casual start – full-time opportunity

What we’re looking for:
- Valid HC licence (or higher)
- Truck & Dog experience preferred but happy to train the right applicant
- Strong safety focus
- Reliable & professional attitude

The Service would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to the Tenterfield Volunteer Support Group and the incredible generosity and support shown to them by the Tenterfield community.

The Group recently presented a donation cheque to the Service of $213,000, the result of the group’s fundraising efforts across 2025.

As a registered charity, this type of support remains vital to our sustainability, growth and standards of excellence, allowing investment in facilities, training, equipment, people and new technologies to enable the highest standards.

For a small regional community like Tenterfield, this achievement is extraordinary.
Since 2015, the Tenterfield community has helped the Group raise more than $894,000 - a testament to the passion and commitment of both our volunteers and the community itself.

The 2025 figure included $125,000 raised as the group celebrated the 10th Anniversary of its annual golf day. The event was hosted by the team at Townes Group, the Tenterfield Golf Club and supported by valued sponsor Hitachi.

Thank you again to all the sponsors, supporters and our fantastic Tenterfield volunteers for their unwavering support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
