TWS in the Barkly is excited to have Asaph join our team! We have such a wealth of knowledge here that we welcome any opportunity to share it with those who are keen to enter the plumbing industry. Asaph is in great hands with our GM Coco and Supervisor Neville who have a long history of working in the Barkly region. Welcome to the team Asaph!
Meet the Student
Meet Asaph
Asaph is a motivated and determined student who joined Tennant Creek High School (TCHS) from St Philip’s College during his final year of school. Despite joining a new school in his final year, Asaph quickly settled into TCHS, making new friends and becoming a valued member of the school community.
During his time at St Philip’s College, Asaph completed his Certificate II in Automotive, giving him a valuable foundation of practical skills and industry knowledge.
Asaph has also worked incredibly hard towards his senior studies and has achieved his 200 NTCET credits several months earlier than scheduled — a fantastic achievement that reflects his commitment and determination.
Alongside his studies, Asaph has been completing his Certificate III in Aviation – Remote Pilot, which he is expected to complete early in Term 4. This qualification has provided Asaph with another valuable skill set and opened further opportunities for his future.
Outside of his studies and career achievements, Asaph has also made his mark on the TCHS school community. In 2026, Asaph was crowned our Formal King, making it a memorable year for him and a special moment to celebrate with his fellow students and staff.
There is also plenty of excitement ahead for Asaph. Next week Asaph starts full-time employment with Territory Water Solutions, while continuing to pursue his long-term goal of becoming a plumber.
We would also like to give a huge shout-out and heartfelt thank you to our friends at Territory Water Solutions for the incredible partnership that has been built between TWS and TCHS.
They continue to support our school by providing our students with valuable workplace experiences and a welcoming, supportive environment where they can learn, grow and build confidence as they step into the industry.
We are especially excited to see this partnership continue as Territory Water Solutions takes the next step in supporting Asaph by welcoming him into their team as an employee. This is such an exciting opportunity for Asaph as he begins his journey into the workforce, and we are incredibly grateful to Territory Water Solutions for believing in him and providing him with this opportunity.
Partnerships like this make such a difference in helping students develop real-world skills, build confidence and transition successfully from school into employment. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing support and commitment to our students and our school community.
Asaph has already achieved so much in his final year, and his willingness to work hard, learn new skills and pursue his goals is something to be incredibly proud of. We can’t wait to see where Asaph’s hard work and determination take him next!
