Meet lovely Rose!

Rose has been part of Ever since 2021, bringing in diverse design experience and a real passion for the stories behind architecture. Rose loves taking stories and turning them into spaces that people can connect with and make memories in.

Outside the studio, she’s usually playing piano or guitar, enjoying good food with friends, or blowing bubbles with her young family.

After some time away on maternity leave, Rose has recently rejoined the Ever team, and we’re very happy to have her back!

This kitchen is at the heart of this home at Forest Lake 🌿

The goal was to balance warmth with practicality and accessibility: little touches like a pull-out shelf under the Gaggenau oven, a dedicated bench space for a wheelchair user, and under-island storage for fold-out tables means our clients have been able to regain independence and enjoy cooking and hospitality.

The renovated home can now even host extended family gatherings of up to 35. We're very proud of the impact of this one!

Kind words from our clients at Forest Lake, Tim, Bev and daughter Ruthie.

This project was driven by a simple but really important need: making home work better as life changes. We worked closely with Tim and Bev to suit their accessibility needs, to create a home that feels comfortable and, most importantly, still feels like their home.

We’re so grateful to Tim and Bev for trusting us with their home and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful chapter.

Terra, a Yard with a House is now officially handed over to our clients!

Pictured from the street: the renovated cottage, a new carport and entry pathway framing the protected gum tree in the front yard. The original house was brought forward and raised up to sky, giving the backyard more room to breathe, without losing the charm of the front garden.

Indoor-outdoor courtyards border the edges, and hit and miss brick screens add privacy without compromising light and breezes.

We're looking forward to seeing these gardens thrive and become the backdrop to every day life of this family home ♡

Quiet moments on site in Tarragindi, just a few days before hand over.

Feeling really grateful for this design journey, and so excited for our wonderful clients as they start making new memories in their renovated home. It's a real privilege to design spaces families actually get to live in.

Appreciating the hard work of In-House Projects for bringing it all together with so much care. We really enjoyed working with Dan and the team.

Introducing the most recent addition to the Ever team, the incredible Architect Mads!

Mads is a valued member of our team, and brings experience across tertiary education, commercial and health projects. She is motivated by the power of design to create more equitable environments, and brings a thoughtful approach to projects that balances clarity, buildability and the realities of everyday use.

When she’s not in the studio, Mads loves to read a mystery crime novel, taking photographs or working with textiles.

We're grateful to have you here Mads - it's always a joy to push each other on as we collectively step through our world of comparatively small, but heartfelt and thoughtful projects.

Designing homes is one of our favourite things to do as we get to walk alongside clients on deeply personal journeys.

Our design process aims to lean into these stories and let them guide the ways we develop our design concepts.

For our project in Tarragindi, we prioritised our client's desire to keep their beloved yard, while renovating their old cottage into a home more suitable for their growing family.

The design aims to do both while introducing elements along the border to bring the outside in.

The result is not a home with a yard, but a yard with a home.

Those special moments show a house for what it truly is: a vessel for everyday rituals, seasonal gatherings, and the kind of life that grows slowly, with care.

Along the Edge House

The family loved the idea of a deck: connection to the outdoors, sunlight, flexibility.

Extending towards the northern edge of the home offers some of the same qualities, without sacrificing privacy or internal space.

This extension aims to improve circulation and shape the living spaces, while allowing daylight as deep into the home as possible.

Do you prefer a seamless transition from inside-to-out, or a distinct break between the two? 🤔

LAMA House expresses a quiet luxury through these New Guinea Rosewood timber openings - almost a portal between the two, with a distinct stepdown to signify a change in space.

Some feel that nature is something to be admired but not immersed in - the beauty of architecture is that we can cater to each client's culture and values, telling their own story in built form.
