Do you prefer a seamless transition from inside-to-out, or a distinct break between the two? 🤔

LAMA House expresses a quiet luxury through these New Guinea Rosewood timber openings - almost a portal between the two, with a distinct stepdown to signify a change in space.

Some feel that nature is something to be admired but not immersed in - the beauty of architecture is that we can cater to each client's culture and values, telling their own story in built form.

Work in progress. The brief: A house for forest lovers.

This home has held a big family for many years. Now, with the kids grown and families of their own, the next chapter is about creating a home that supports ageing in place - a home that feels safe and deeply connected to the forest that has always shaped daily life.

Our intervention is focused on enhancing that relationship to the forest, bringing in more natural light, and angling spaces toward the trees. A new deck nestled beside the canopy will become the main family gathering space, generous enough to host all 17 of them (and counting).

We’re excited to see this project evolve and to provide the family with a home that grows with them.

We love how the plants compliment 2 Stephens Street. Besides the central courtyard, the landscaping along the front edge of the building softens the edges of the concrete and brick, and blends it in with the rest of the street. We can already picture the tension wires covered in green!

Different brief, same design instinct - connect to context.
Keep Going House introduces a central spine, connecting front entry to back garden, and stitching the long site together. Edges blur, spaces expand.

A home that works with the site, while encouraging socialisation and respecting privacy.
