BOYCE STREET RENO - PART 1: Getting the bones right!
Before we start knocking out walls and changing layouts, we need to deal with what’s happening underneath them.
This old cottage has sunk by around 90mm from the external wall to the centre of the house, with old timber stumps underneath that have seen much better days.
So first up, the old tongue-and-groove flooring is coming up so we can properly access the subfloor, re-pier the house and bring it back to a reasonable level.
It might not be the prettiest part of a renovation, but there’s not much point making everything above look good if what’s underneath isn’t right.
Part 1 of bringing this old girl back to life!!
