π§ This Weekβs Wednesday Waffle β A Tale of Two Buildings π·οΈπ‘
On this week's Wednesday Waffle, we're using our office block to demonstrate two of the most important factors in pest management:
π‘ Environmental conditions
π‘οΈ Regular, proactive pest management
This building has plenty of bright lights operating at night, attracting flying insects from all around the area. As you'd expect, where there's an abundance of flying insects, there's an abundance of food for webbing spiders.
The interesting part?
Some of the units in this complex receive regular pest management. Some don't.
The environmental conditions are virtually identical, but the difference in pest activity is dramatic. π·οΈπ³
The units receiving regular services remain largely free of spider activity, while the unmanaged units experience significantly higher numbers of spiders and webs.
It's a great real-world example of why pest management isn't just about reacting to problems when they occur. Consistent, proactive treatments can dramatically reduce pest pressures, even when the environment is actively working against you.
