Family is a big part of Mackies, and we’re lucky to have a few fathers and sons working alongside each other in our team. It’s pretty special to see skills and experience being passed on from one generation to the next.

We were proud to attend the Club Taree Community Gala and to continue supporting such a great local event. Mackies has been a strong supporter of Club Taree for many years, and it was fantastic to be involved again, this time as the presenting partner for the trivia.

We’re proud to share this video featuring Jasmin, one of our first year apprentices here at Mackies.

Jasmin grew up in Port Macquarie and originally thought uni was the only path for her, but ended up choosing the trade instead after weighing up what would work best for her future. She talks about how much she has learned, the support she has received from the team and how being part of a company with other women in the industry has made a real difference.

It’s great to see Jasmin discovering new opportunities in the electrical field and looking forward to where her career might take her, from switchboards and automatic doors to TAFE and potentially even working on bigger projects in the future.

Frosty mornings, freezing conditions, but the job still got done. That's the Mackies way.
