Project Nearing Completion

The Mudgee Mines Rescue Training Facility is now in its final stages, with works expected to be complete in September!

Works are progressing across both the internal warehouse conversion and external specialist training areas. The new facility brings together dedicated classrooms and amenities with specialised practical training areas, including a Working at Heights Training Tower, simulated underground mine environment and covered vehicle rescue training area.

A great result taking shape for the Mines Rescue team, delivering a purpose-built environment designed to support real-world training and emergency response.

Team Day on the Courts

Last Friday, we took the opportunity to step away from the usual pace of the office, put on the Formline tees, and spend the day together on the courts.

With sunshine, plenty of laughs, and some healthy competition, it was a great chance to bring out the team spirit and enjoy time together outside the day-to-day. Thanks also to our Head Architect, Pooja, for making the trip from Brisbane to join us.

A big shout out to Coach Jarrod Campbell for running the day and keeping everyone moving through cardio tennis, pickleball and a mix of games throughout the morning, and finishing off with a doubles tournament in the afternoon.

Congrats to our winners and runners up, and we look forward to the next round of team building!

Project Underway in Mudgee

A new project is kicking off in Mudgee, with the Mines Rescue team relocating to a purpose-built training facility designed to support the next phase of their operations.

This refurbishment will transform an existing building into a training facility, featuring classrooms, wet areas, and breakout spaces, alongside a simulated underground mine for immersive, real-world training and fire rescue scenarios.

It’s been a collaborative process from the outset, and we appreciate the continued support of the trades and suppliers who are instrumental in bringing this project to life.

A well-deserved congratulations to Tim Wellard on his promotion to Project Manager.

Tim’s journey is a strong example of what growth from within looks like at Formline. From Site Foreman, to Site Manager, and now to Project Manager, this promotion reflects not only strong performance, but the way Tim has consistently lived our values of Care, Be Transparent, 80/20 Focus, Make It Happen and No Complacency.

Through his site management on past projects, and by stepping up into project management duties on a recent warehouse build, Tim has demonstrated strong leadership, reliability & commitment to quality outcomes.

It’s been a great journey to see to Tim develop through his career, and live by our purpose of growth by better.
