DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S ACTUALLY PROTECTING YOU? ⚡
A safety switch (RCD) is one of the cheaper, higher-impact upgrades for an older home — it's the thing that actually protects you from a fatal shock if something goes wrong, not just a fuse that stops the lights going out.
Easy way to check: open your switchboard and look for switches with a small "T" test button. If none of them have one, you likely don't have a safety switch at all — common in homes built before the 1990s.
It's the details that make the difference. A five-minute check now is a lot cheaper than finding out the hard way.
