Today working with 🔨💪

This project is a half-residential, half-commercial space, and we've been working on the decking for both the common areas and the rooftop. Using composite decking on the aluminium frame system, built to handle both residential and commercial use.

Bhin's space, before working with us, wasn't being used at all.
Now it's exactly where his kids play safely, every day. That's really what this is about for us, it's not just about a nice space. It's about actually using the part of your home you've already paid for, instead of a corner of the yard sitting there doing nothing. Most deck failures don't come from the boards on top, they come from the frame underneath.
We've seen it firsthand, we've had to fix decks that looked fine on the surface but were dangerously built underneath.

So how do you avoid it? You don't need to be the expert, you just need to ask the right questions before the frame is built:

✅ Do you have experience building decks specifically?
✅ Will the frame meet Australian Standards and the NCC?
✅ What fixings are you using (galvanised or stainless steel, correctly rated joist hangers)?
✅ Can you assure me this will still be standing, safely, in 20 years?

A good builder will answer all of this clearly and confidently, no hesitation.
Asking the right questions upfront is the easiest way to make sure your deck is built to last.
