So we came up with a better solution.

What started as a fire-damaged kitchen repair has turned into a complete refresh.

We're replacing the damaged cabinetry while taking the opportunity to improve the functionality and bring the entire kitchen up to a higher standard.

✨ When Service Matters Most ✨

At 9pm last night, our client sent us a message:

💧 "Water is coming out the front of the washing machine!"

Having only completed this laundry renovation a week earlier, we knew water damage was a risk we couldn't ignore.

So first thing the next morning, we were back on site.

Our initial thought? It could potentially be an installation issue. So we worked through the process methodically:

🔹 Removed surrounding items for access
🔹 Tested all plumbing connections
🔹 Checked every fitting and hose
🔹 Inspected the cabinetry for signs of water ingress

Everything checked out perfectly.

Then we found something interesting...

On removing the washing machine, we discovered a pool of water directly beneath the maintenance filter area. The water had tracked under the machine and out the front, making it appear as though the cabinetry or plumbing may have been leaking.

To eliminate any doubt, we removed the machine completely and inspected underneath.

The result?

The water was inside the washing machine itself.

The cabinetry was dry.
The plumbing was sound.
The installation was correct.

We're now waiting for a technician to assess and repair the appliance before we return to reinstate everything.

The best part?

Our clients were relieved.

Relieved that we responded quickly.
Relieved that we investigated thoroughly.
Relieved that we found the cause before any damage occurred.

Our client purchased this kitchen from another manufacturer, but there was one problem...

The supplier wouldn't install it in their location.

That's where TCS stepped in.

This stunning polyurethane kitchen arrived on site ready for installation, complete with 40mm benchtops. As we began the install, we quickly identified an issue that had been missed during the design stage.

🔹 The plans accounted for walls at the open ends of the kitchen
🔹 Two end panels were missing
🔹 The benchtop would have been left exposed and unfinished

Rather than leaving the client with a compromised result, we adapted the installation and worked through the challenges on site.

✔️ Full kitchen installed ✔️ Benchtops fitted ✔️ Sink cut-out completed on site ✔️ Stone mason organised to return later in the week and complete the benchtop modifications

Despite the challenges, we had the entire kitchen installed in just one day.

Sometimes a successful project isn't about manufacturing the kitchen — it's about having the experience to solve the problems that appear when reality doesn't match the plans.

We almost didn't get this project.

Our client wanted the laundry to match the quality and style of their kitchen — polyurethane finishes, built-in hampers, full-height bulkheads, and all the premium touches.

The challenge?

The original design was outside the budget.

Instead of compromising on the outcome, we worked with the client to find smarter solutions while maintaining the same high-end feel.

Before:
🔹 Empty 3-metre room
🔹 Single metal laundry tub
🔹 Virtually no storage

After:
✔️ Polytec Oasis Green cabinetry
✔️ Polytec Blonde Oak Woodmatt overheads
✔️ 20mm stone benchtop
✔️ Tiled splashback using leftover tiles from the home build for a seamless look
✔️ Blum soft-close hinges, drawers, and lift-up hardware
✔️ Premium matt black handles
✔️ Integrated laundry storage throughout

To help bring the project within budget, we:

🔹 Swapped polyurethane for premium laminate finishes
🔹 Sourced a stone offcut to closely match the kitchen benchtops
🔹 Simplified some of the original design elements while preserving the overall vision

The outcome?

A laundry that feels every bit as luxurious as the rest of the home.

A full Tricoya build — cabinets, doors, and panels all designed for durability in a demanding outdoor environment.

✨ Corner Sink Cabinet Replacement – Not a Simple Swap ✨

This water-damaged cabinet turned into a serious challenge.

🔹 Benchtop epoxied to the cabinetry
🔹 Waste pipe and power point running through the unit
🔹 Sink and benchtop had to stay in place

No easy way out.

So we worked through it:

🛠️ Carefully broke the cabinet out in pieces
🧼 Cleaned and dried the affected area
📐 Couldn’t fit the new cabinet through the doorway — so we built it in the room with minimal space

And here’s the trick 👇

To keep the benchtop supported, we:
🔩 Propped it up
🔩 Ran hidden screws through the tall cabinet to carry the load
🔩 Installed the new cabinet, then removed the screws to transfer the weight back

Everything reinstated, aligned, and sealed — and it came up spot on.

Just one small detail left to finish off.
