One thing I am really proud of is the staff retention in my company.
Every business owner, or anyone in a management position, knows that staff turnover is a huge challenge in any healthy business.
Most of the time, when there is a high turnover of staff, it's an indication that something is not quite right within the business's operations, employer-employee relationships, or even the culture of the business.
In these photos, next to me, is Harry from our Sydney Gardening Team.
I met Harry through a recommendation 7 years ago, and it's been a blessing having him around ever since!
Hard-working, knowledgeable, friendly, and just an awesome member of our operation.
It has been so humbling watching him grow and mature over the years as a person, a partner, a dad, and a member of DAYTODAY.
"How do I do it, and what are the benefits?" you're probably asking.
Treat your staff well, regardless of whether they are casual, part-time, full-time, or contractors. Meet with them, help them, mentor them. Show them that you care, tell them how much they mean to you.
The people you surround yourself with are a representation of your organisation. When your team is happy, it shows in their work, and your clients feel it too. 100%!!
For me, it's really that simple. It's the culture of my company, DAYTODAY.
