Vertical Arc—the master suite opens towards the harbour, where expansive glazing frames water and skyline views. Beyond, layered greenery filters light and provides privacy, creating a quiet retreat immersed in its settings.

Second Light—softened forms and generous openings bring the home’s renewed architectural language into focus.

Heirloom—landscape is woven into the experience of the home. Framed garden views, generous openings and a central courtyard create a constant connection to nature, while giving family life room to move outdoors.

Trotta Architecture—a strong architecture practise isn’t built around one voice. It’s built on trust, giving people the ownership and confidence the bring their own ideas to the table, while working within a shared standard. The result is a more collaborative process, and often, better design.

Second Light—a return to site at Second Light, where the transformation is steadily taking shape.

Vertical Arc—sculpted ceilings and gently curved joinery bring softness to the master suite, perched within the rooftop canopy where garden and landscape remain ever-present. Pale timber, richly veined stone and tactile upholstery form a subtle interplay fo texture and tone.

Meet Mateus—coming from a family of architects, Mateus has been immersed in architecture and construction from a young age, with some of his earliest experiences spent on building sites alongside his mother.

Having worked across Brazil and Australia, he brings a considered understanding of both design and how architecture comes together on site.

Drawn to architecture with longevity, Mateus believes good design should transcend trends and improve with time. His hands-on construction experience informs an approach grounded in materiality, detailing and practical resolution, considering not only how a building looks, but how it is made, how it performs and how it will endure.
