Planting day in Cammeray. 🌿

From olive trees and clipped structure to lush tropical planting and groundcovers weaving between the stepping stones, this garden is starting to find its character.

Even the local kookaburra stopped by to supervise the team's work... we're choosing to believe it approved.

We can't wait to see this garden settle in and flourish over the coming months.

Sometimes the biggest transformation starts with a clean-up.

This garden had become a little too comfortable in its jungle phase. 🌿

After a day of pruning, clearing and reshaping, the space is feeling open, refreshed and full of potential again.

Now comes the exciting part — planning the next round of planting to bring even more colour, texture and seasonal interest to the garden.

The hedge was getting a little ambitious. 🌿

After stretching itself over the front gate and claiming more territory than originally intended, it was time for a haircut.

A few hours later and the entrance is looking neat, welcoming and back in proportion with the rest of the garden.

Nothing beats a crisp hedge line.

When the boundary between indoors and outdoors disappears.

This Newtown courtyard was designed as a true extension of the home, creating a seamless connection between the living space, outdoor entertaining area and garden studio beyond.

Large-format paving, layered planting and carefully framed views help draw the eye through the space, while the lush greenery provides privacy and a sense of escape in the middle of the city.

At the heart of the garden, a sculptural frangipani creates a focal point that can be enjoyed from every angle.

In this compact Newtown courtyard, these limestone steps create a gentle transition between the entertaining space and the garden studio beyond — a creative retreat tucked within the landscape.

The layered planting softens the change in level and helps frame the journey through the garden, while the raised outlook gives the studio a sense of separation without disconnecting it from the rest of the space.

One of our favourite features is the frangipani at the heart of the garden. Framed by layered planting and visible from both the courtyard and studio, it helps create a sense of arrival while adding fragrance and seasonal colour.

The custom concrete benchtop pairs with Blackbutt timber joinery and screening, creating a warm, durable finish that sits comfortably within the surrounding planting.
