Each cavern is 15-meters high by 9-meters wide, making the work complex and high-risk. Travel forms were used to construct the main cavern and Doka frames utilised to construct the adits and cross passages.

KC TV | Behind the Build - Ep. 1

We recently caught up with Darren Sherry on site at Hunter Street, where he’s delivering the masonry package for John Holland CPB Contractors Shieriline Macalintal Joint Venture on the Sydney Metro West - East Tunnelling Package.

The completed section in TB5 (the longest turnback tunnel) will eventually accommodate two trains, serving as a set down area for the future Sydney Metro West line.
