Restoring a piece of history.

This original pressed metal ceiling had seen decades of wear, but with careful preparation, restoration and hand painting, its intricate detail was brought back to life.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about preserving heritage features rather than replacing them. It’s these details that give a home its character and timeless appeal.

Swipe to see the transformation.

Mosman Project | Restoring Character

This beautiful period home deserved more than a standard repaint.

The pressed metal ceiling required extensive preparation and restoration before being brought back to life with a carefully selected semi-gloss finish.

Where many painters would use a flat finish to hide detail, we chose to enhance it. The result is a ceiling that becomes a feature of the room, showcasing the craftsmanship and character of the home.

At Karlux Finishes, we believe quality painting is about more than colour, it’s about preserving and elevating the details that make a home unique.

From preparation to completion.

Projects like this are a reminder that premium finishes begin long before the final coat of paint.

Extensive preparation, restoration work and attention to detail transformed this heritage hallway into a refined architectural space while preserving the timeless character of the home.

Every detail matters, from the intricate mouldings and archways through to the final finish.
