Recently The Rix Group completed the installation of permanent anchors at Hunter Street West, an important milestone in the ground retention works as part of the Sydney Metro West Eastern Tunnelling Package.
The scope involved installing 34 permanent anchors to strict B114 specification requirements. The anchors consisted of 19 strands of cable, drilled 36m deep at a very flat 5 degrees and to a strict 1:40 tolerance.
RIX values its close working relationship with the John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella Joint Venture team, and we have worked closely together on various parts of the project over the past 2 years.
