Great to join forces with Phase Renewables and MCS at Renewables Day in Hastings this week!

Bringing together industry expertise, hands-on demonstrations and practical advice, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with installers looking to grow their businesses across solar, battery storage, EV charging and beyond.

And with Phase Renewables now available on OpenSolar Shop, installers can design their systems and order the equipment they need, all in one place.

That’s the thinking behind OpenSolar’s 1% Commitment, through which we donate 1% of our annual revenue to bring clean energy to underserved communities, in partnership with .

Since 2022, our partnership has helped deliver solar-powered water systems to four communities in Zambia, as well as reliable electricity to Kaloko Clinic, supporting safer care for mothers and newborns.

Now, we’re taking the next step. Our next project is St Elizabeth Gekano Mission Hospital in rural Western Kenya, a non-profit facility serving over 15,000 people every month. Despite being connected to the national grid, frequent power outages disrupt the care patients depend on. With reliable solar power and battery storage, hospital staff will be better equipped to provide uninterrupted care and keep essential medicines and vaccines safely stored.

🇮🇳 India’s solar story is getting a storage boost. ☀️🔋

India could commission 45–50 GWh of battery energy storage over FY2027 and FY2028, up from around 1 GWh at the end of FY2026.
As solar generation grows, batteries can store surplus daytime power and make it available when demand rises, bringing greater flexibility to India’s renewable energy mix.

With storage-linked projects accounting for nearly 40% of renewable capacity auctioned in FY2026, batteries are becoming an increasingly important part of India’s clean energy growth.
