Ceiling fan removed. Pendant feature installed.

In older homes, it’s common to see fans placed where a statement light was always meant to be.

Across three bedrooms in this Castle Hill home, we removed the fans and re-established proper ceiling lighting positions, allowing these pendants to become the feature of the room as originally intended.

Small electrical changes can completely shift how a space feels — especially when lighting is designed, not just fitted.

Throwback Tech at Its Finest!

Found this masterpiece at a car dealership in Parramatta… a fully custom switch plate controlling the entire showroom and offices — one button at a time! 😅

This right here is why lighting control systems were invented.
We at Urban don’t exactly recommend this method as a smart solution anymore.

These days, we can switch a lot more with a lot less — from a single touchscreen or phone app.

💡 And remember… don’t forget to turn the lights off!
