Wexcon is seeking experienced civil formworkers for long-term regional projects across a range of civil and infrastructure sectors.

We are looking for reliable people with strong formwork experience in foundations, slabs, retaining walls, concrete barriers and other civil structures.

Essential requirements:

White Card

Proven formwork and civil construction experience
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
Willingness to work away from home
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
Current Australian working rights
Reliable transport and a current driver’s licence

FRP SUPERVISOR – REGIONAL PROJECTS

Wexcon is seeking an experienced FRP Supervisor with a strong background in formwork, reinforcement and concrete across transport and rail infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role on a regional project, with accommodation supplied for the duration of the project work.

The role

* Lead and coordinate formworkers, steel fixers, concretors and subcontractors.
* Plan daily activities, labour, materials and plant to meet the construction programme.
* Read and interpret structural drawings, reinforcement details and temporary works designs.
* Oversee formwork installation, reinforcement, concrete pours and stripping in accordance with approved designs and procedures.
* Coordinate inspections, ITPs, hold points and pre-pour checks with the project team.
* Lead pre-starts and toolbox talks, monitor and maintain safe access and work areas.
* Maintain accurate site diaries, timesheets and progress records.
* Identify issues early and communicate clearly with the Project Manager, engineers and client representatives.

What we’re looking for

* Proven experience supervising FRP works on transport and rail projects, particularly bridges, retaining walls, barriers and similar concrete structures.
* Strong practical knowledge of conventional and proprietary formwork systems.
* Experience delivering concrete works to B80 requirements.
* The ability to plan ahead, solve problems and use initiative while working within approved designs and site procedures.
* A reliable, approachable leader who sets clear expectations and maintains high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
* Willingness to work away from home.

Tickets and requirements

* Current White Card, RIW card and B80 ticket/grey card.
* Silica dust training and respirator fit-testing records. Can be arranged if you don’t have them.
* Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing as per project requirements.
* Current driver’s licence and Australian working rights.
* Working at Heights, EWP are advantageous.

Project arrangements

* Accommodation supplied by Wexcon.
* Planned working hours: Monday to Saturday.
* Remuneration and regional allowances discussed with suitable applicants.

Wexcon is seeking experienced formwork carpenters for several upcoming long-term regional infrastructure projects.

Applicants must have proven experience in bridge construction, including B80 works, as well as retaining walls, concrete barriers and other civil structures.
