A charged stormwater system a good idea to achieve a result when you have a flat block of land. Unfortunately this one has sprung a leak underground and is creating issues inside the house and the backyard is constantly water logged. Before and after photos show water level dropped approximately 1.5 mtrs in the 90mm pipe. Times that by 6 downpipes around the house and a space of 3 days, it’s a lot of water constantly leaking under ground.

During and after. This patch of grass was struggling to become lawn and allowing water to filter down into the basement which is dug into the hill. We excavated through the grass and sections of rock to install a herringbone style subsoil drainage system. We had a custom made pit lid made so grass or plants could help disguise the pit we installed. Now 2 years on the basement hasn’t seen any water and the patch of grass is now the owners front lawn.

Still pretty upset the Mrs didn’t want to have the truck in the wedding….
