It began with two mates with a strong desire to change the image of tradies and provide exceptional service. As a team of electricians based in the Inner West of Sydney, we understand the need of everyday people struggling to find good, reliable and trustworthy electricians. An electrical apprenticeship is a four-year journey, with three years balancing study and work, followed by a final year fully on the tools before getting signed off.

David's take?

Finish your TAFE, pass your tests, put in the effort, and you'll get there.

This home received several new outlets exactly where they were needed, making everyday living that little bit easier.

Most of them were straightforward.

One, however, has officially been crowned "the hardest power point installation of my life." ⚡

Funny thing is, nobody ever regrets having too many power points.

There are two kinds of people.

And people who know they'll keep adding things and plan ahead. 😄

This switchboard upgrade wasn't because the board was full. It was because our client already knows more circuits are coming down the track.

EV charger?
Outdoor entertaining?

By upsizing the subboard now and replacing older breakers with modern safety switches, there's room to grow without having to start all over again.

There are a few things tradies never say out loud.

One of them?

"We're going to have an early finish today." 😄

Because according to David, the moment those words leave your mouth, you've officially cursed the entire day.

Poor Seb innocently mentioned an early finish and was immediately accused of manifesting overtime, unpaid work, and apparently not even being "on the books." 💀

Thankfully, the jobs still got done, the banter continued, and everyone's employment status remains intact.

Lane Cove.
15 units.
One giant electrical Rubik's Cube. 🧩⚡

Every time we think we've figured out one circuit, another one pops up somewhere it shouldn't.

One unit is powering another.
Garage lights belong to someone else.
A storage area is running off common power.
And one unit somehow has a garage circuit for a garage that doesn't exist.

At this point, every discovery feels like solving one side of the cube only to realise three more sides still need sorting out. 😅

The challenge with older unit blocks is that years of alterations, upgrades, and changes can leave behind a trail that no longer makes much sense on paper.

That's why proper testing and circuit tracing are so important. Sometimes finding the problem is half the battle.

And this is keeping us on our toes.

Simple answer? Apparently not. 💀
In Seb's defence, it had been a long, tiring day.
The answers were in there somewhere. 😅

Between forgetting the process, second-guessing every answer, and eventually remembering the importance of before photos, this is a pretty accurate snapshot of what real days on site look like.
