Well, that was a special one! 🏆🥳

Last night, we took home the WIN for the Trades Services Category at the Waverley Brightest & Best Awards! 🎉
This one means a little more to us, because Waverley is where it all began! 💚

11 years ago, Pest2Kill started in founder Julian Bracewell’s garage, right here in Waverley. Fast forward to today, and we’re now servicing homes and businesses across Greater Sydney and beyond NSW!

A massive shoutout to our incredible team, and a huge thank you to Waverley Council and the local community who have supported us from day one.

And a huge congratulations to the amazing MAMA SMOKE DOUBLE award winner, as well as all the businesses in Waverley for their incredible success! 🌶️♥️

From a garage in Waverley to an award-winning pest control company. What a full-circle moment! 🚀🙌🏼

🐜 As featured in Yahoo Lifestyle 🐜

Spring is here, and so are the ants. Our founder Julian Bracewell spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia about why DIY ant fixes, like boiling water and detergent poured down the nest, are usually just a “band-aid”.

“You might move them away from that area, but what you’re really taking out is just the workers,” says Julian. “To control an ant’s population, you’ve got to get to the queen, who is generally underground and the boss.”

Julian’s tips for keeping small black ants away this spring:
✅ Remove their food source. They’re incredible foragers, so even a few crumbs or grains of sugar will bring them in
✅ Wipe down benches and keep the pantry sealed
✅ Stand the pet’s food bowl inside a bigger bowl of water to make a moat
✅ Use bait instead of a repellent. Ants carry bait back to the nest, so it reaches the queen

Ants marching through your place? Our team will get to the source, queen and all. Message us or book online at pest2kill.com.au

Pretty proud of this one! 🏆

Pest2Kill has been named a finalist in THREE categories at the 2026 Smart50 Awards:
🪳 Marketing
💛 Community Hero
🙌 People Power

And for the second year running!

These three mean a lot to us because they represent so much of what we’ve worked hard to build at Pest2Kill.

A great team and culture. A genuine commitment to giving back to the communities we work in. And marketing that proves even pest control can be fun (it helps when you have giant racing cockroaches).

Very proud of our whole team and everything that sits behind these three nominations.

A huge thank you to SmartCompany for the continued support and recognition, and congratulations to all the other brilliant businesses named as finalists this year.

Now we wait for awards night 🤞

Our CEO Phil has been talking rodents 🐀

Phil Taylor has recently featured in both Facility Management Magazine and INCLEAN Magazine, sharing his take on how commercial rodent management is changing across Australia.

Think less ‘set and forget’ baiting, and more smart monitoring, targeted treatment, better reporting and a much bigger focus on prevention.

Two great features and a topic we’re pretty passionate about at P2K. Nice work, Phil!

Cracking day at yesterday - we love combining our love of football and pest control to create a really fun sponsorship! Thanks to the legends at for partnering with us on the field, and for all the other hospitality groups who put their best foot forward for the ‘Beat the Roach’ penalty shoot out! We can’t wait to take winners to the Sydney FC derby game next month in a VIP box ⚽️

It’s official - THE COLOUR RUN is now our Racing Roaches’ favourite (and messiest) course of the season! 🌈

We had the pleasure of sponsoring McAuley Primary Rose Bay biggest fundraiser of the year last Friday, and what a joy-filled, colourful and beautiful day it was. We love being a part of the communities that choose to support our business, and giving back is a huge part of what we do. And if that involves volunteering to dress up as a cockroach to walk the children from school to the event, and then throw colourful powder over them all - then sign us up! Well done McAuley and all the amazing volunteers for running such a fabulous event. The kids were in their element!

And that concludes another busy Racing Roach winter… lots of FUNdraising and silliness across 7 community events in 2026. Time to hang up the roach suits and rest! 😅

P.s thank you to talene and Lena for agreeing to be part of our roach team! You’re both legends 🪳

The prize for the last striker standing? A VIP catered suite for the winner and their team at the much-anticipated Sydney Derby: Sydney FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers, courtesy of our friends at Pest2Kill 🏟️

One striker from every team. One giant Roach in goal. One very good reason not to miss 🎯

Our Racing Roaches have officially conquered their first-ever Voltaren City2Surf !!🪳🏃‍♂️

I think it’s safe to say this was their biggest challenge yet...
4 Pest2Kill legends volunteered to take on the 14km course in full Racing Roach glory, hills, costumes and all, and despite the slightly (very) hot suits, they all made it across the finish line. 👏

We’re incredibly lucky to have a team that not only works hard but is always willing to get involved in our slightly crazy antics. 😂 And we can confirm that the beers at the finish line tasted even better than usual. 🍻

Next up, we’ll be back in our soccer boots for the penalty spot at the The Hospitality Cup on 7 September ⚽🪳 We’ve got a couple more fun things planned before we officially wrap up the season, and let them rest before we start planning next years racing roaches😜

City2Surf: completed. ✅
Racing Roaches: somehow still going?!

We found a trend in our pest data you need to know about, and it's why we're giving you $50 off!

At Pest2Kill, we analysed almost 100,000 Pest2Kill appointments across Sydney homes, and the numbers don't lie: pest activity more than doubles between August and November. By the time you notice a problem, it's already established...

Here's what the data shows:
🕷️ Spider enquiries jump 5.5x in spring - the sharpest spike of any pest.
🪳 Cockroaches remain Sydney's #1 household pest (almost half of all enquiries!)
🐜 Ants surge in Spring as populations establish before you ever spot them.
🏠 30% of all termite enquiries happen in spring alone, as they begin to swarm.

The fix? Get ahead of it.
A preventative General Pest Treatment before spring means no spiders in the kids' rooms, no cockroaches in the kitchen, and no ants in the pantry once the weather warms up.

Pest2Kill has been protecting Sydney homes for 11 years, and we're proud to work alongside amazing communities across Sydney and NSW. Our friendly, experienced technicians know how to tailor every treatment around your home - especially if you've got young kids or pets running around. 🐾

Don't wait until pests get comfortable. Book now and enjoy a pest-free spring.☀️
