Another duplex, a completely different layout.

We’re taking you through this Seaforth build at linings stage. The plasterboard is going up and the spaces are starting to take shape. This is the point where rooms stop being frames and start feeling like a home.

Onsite detention — the site condition most people have never heard of, until it turns up in their DA.

Pete saw the work Iconik Concrete Constructions shared and was in Fairlight first thing this morning to take a look himself. Slab complete. Not a bad way to end the week - thanks Jesse and team!

While he was there, he explained what onsite detention actually is and why some sites need it. Short version: when you build, more of the block ends up as hard surface — roof, driveway, paving — so more stormwater runs off, and it runs off faster. Onsite detention holds that water back and releases it slowly, so the street drainage and the neighbours aren’t wearing the difference.
