One Playground Zetland
Reception || Arrival Lobby 

The Reception welcomes members into an immersive composition of materials, light and atmosphere that is unmistakably its own.

The deliberate use of metal, explored through a rich variety of forms, textures, finishes and levels of patina, gives physical expression to the project’s narrative — The Foundry.

As the material at the genesis of the concept, metal is curated and assembled in a series of distinct applications, each revealing itself differently as members move through the club. Some elements remain quiet and utilitarian, fulfilling pragmatic and functional requirements. Others harness light, shadow and reflection, creating moments of visual richness and intrigue.

Within this space, a stainless steel, sensor-operated bottle filling station becomes an unexpected architectural marker. Carefully aligned with the adjacent structural column, it establishes a subtle moment of balance and order within one of the gym’s busiest spaces.

A key node within the club, one that every member will experience.

Topping Out for Maccabi Tennis

Marking another major milestone at Maccabi Tennis, the multi-storey club house has topped out bringing us one huge step closer to opening the community redevelopment. The structure also included a large post tension podium slab which will act as two tennis courts suspended above the carpark.

A Review of Jensen Projects – Our Fitout Experience

If anyone’s ever built anything, they know that finding a builder you can trust AND who delivers on time is a rare combination. Jensen Projects is both. We’ve built with one of the largest dental fitout companies before, and that experience only was no comparison to Jensen Projects.

Here’s what stood out across the whole project, where we recently fitted out a 6 chair practice in Sydney.

Design: They worked closely with us on every detail, thinking through the full patient journey from the moment someone walks through the front door. Where they put their bag, how they move into the chair, how we transition to a consult at the computer. We wanted a warm, family-friendly, almost paediatric feel with no Italian marble or high-end finishes, and they absolutely nailed the brief.

Inclusions: We initially wanted to cut costs with a drop ceiling. Jensens just included a gyprocked ceiling at no extra charge because they wanted us to have a practice they’d be proud of. That says a lot about how they operate.

CDC and Landlord Management: They handled all communications with our landlord on the CDC, back and forth, every detail, without us needing to step in at all.

Timeline: From the moment work began, the project tracked to schedule and was delivered on time. We were kept informed of progress at every stage, so there were no unwelcome surprises.

Communication and Documentation: Every single meeting was followed up with a detailed email covering what was discussed, any costs involved, and available options. We could always reach someone. And most importantly, the aftercare was just as good. We all know how rare that is once a builder has been paid.

Budget Management: Although initially the proposal was approximately $100k over our budget, owner Rael worked with us line by line to hit our budget without compromising the overall look and feel. We got the practice we wanted, within the number we needed.

We’re excited to share One Playground Zetland, the latest project to be delivered after years of collaboration with One Playground. 

For us, this project represented an opportunity to explore the intersection of architecture, interiors and hospitality within a wellness environment. Every design decision was made with the member experience in mind, creating a space that supports movement, recovery and connection in equal measure. 

It’s always rewarding to see many months of planning, design and collaboration come to life, and we’re grateful to the One Playground team for their continued trust throughout the process. 

We look forward to sharing more from One Playground Zetland, as it opens its doors later this year.

Finished Project // Mosh & Moshy

By blending the building's original brickwork, high ceilings, and concrete floors with bold brand colours and custom murals, Jensen Projects delivered a personalised, funky aesthetic that aligns perfectly with the Mosh & Moshy’s youthful culture.
