🎓 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗪𝗢 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲.

Last week, four Rope Access Technicians completed our two-week Blade Repair Training Program at RIGCOM’s purpose-built training facility.

Delivered by RIGCOM’s Composites Engineering & Training Manager, Keyur Jadav, the course focused on practical repair techniques, real-world defect scenarios and the precision required for blade repair work in the field.

The experience and engagement from the group contributed to valuable discussion and hands-on learning throughout the training program.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮.

Using the PosiClamp TipStation™ system, our technicians accessed the damaged tip and completed the repair safely and efficiently, maintaining strict quality standards throughout.

But access is only part of the job. It’s the planning, experience and precision in the field that enables these repairs to be carried out effectively in challenging environments.

As rope access continues to evolve in the wind industry, the right combination of systems, training and engineering support is enabling complex blade inspections and repairs to be completed more efficiently, with reduced downtime and stronger safety outcomes.

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 - 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

A few shots of our Canberra team supporting Value Glass on recent glazing works in Gungahlin, ACT.

On a 10th floor balcony, the team assisted with the removal of a damaged glass balustrade panel - releasing external brackets and safely passing the panel back through the balcony for replacement.

They also supported the replacement of a large double-glazed window, initially securing the damaged external pane with safety film before assisting with installation and final sealing.

Work like this relies on coordination, precision and safe access - exactly where rope access comes into its own.

Through our blade repair training program, Octavio and Cooper have completed their initial training, taking their first step into the wind industry.

The focus has been on building a strong foundation - learning practical repair techniques and working through real-world defect scenarios inside our purpose-built blade repair facility.

Developing new capability like this is essential to supporting the growing demands of the industry and ensuring work in the field is carried out safely and to a high standard.
