A couple of recent stair rebuilds.

A little handrail and steps I made and installed recently. My client has a blind dog and needed something to stop him falling off the deck. I supplied spotted gum posts, handrail and decking to build this. Stainless steel wiring installed and heights to help the puppy. Now he can sadly enjoy the outdoor space 😊

This one was a tricky one, initially I was just replacing the decking boards. Once the decking was removed it revealed that LVL’s had been used for the joists. It was delaminating and rotting. There was a suspended ceiling/guttering system fixed to the rotted joists. One by one I had to carefully remove the old joist, install the new joist and reconnect the ceiling.

Got there in the end! The balcony is much safer and a beautiful space to sit and enjoy a morning coffee.

Little front fence replacement. This one was literally falling down. Everything was removed and replaced. Acorn pickets and acorn toppers used. Thanks to Timber Merchants & Turners for supplying the post toppers

Decking board and framing replacement. These home owners contacted me as they had, had their deck repaired a couple of years ago but the joists were rotting. I removed the existing boards and found that H2 timber had been used for the framing. H2 timber should not be used for external uses! All framing was removed, H3 timber was installed and merbau decking installed. Please always check qualifications of people doing work on your home, it’ll save you a lot of money in the end.
