A little introduction for our new followers 👋

We’re The Other Side® Landscapes, a Sydney team of landscapers, pool builders and horticulturalists. For more than 20 years, we’ve helped clients make more of their outdoor spaces, from a garden refresh to a complete landscape and pool project.

We design, build and care for gardens, pools and their surrounds, outdoor entertaining areas, decks, pergolas and cabanas. We also create the details that make an outdoor living space feel inviting after dark, including fire pits and garden lighting.

Much of our work comes through client referrals. To everyone who has trusted us with their home or recommended us to someone else, thank you. And to our team, thank you for the care you bring to every project.

The Other Side Landscapes is looking for an experienced Horticultural Professional to join our Gardening Improvement team.

Established in 2003, we’re an award-winning landscaping company specialising in high-quality residential gardens. Our philosophy is simple: we don’t just maintain gardens, we improve them. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for horticulture, takes pride in their work and has a genuine eye for detail.

This is a full-time role working alongside a skilled, supportive team, with a company vehicle, an additional five paid Family Leave days each year, the latest Husqvarna battery equipment, uniforms and phone allowance. Ideally, you’ll have 2–5 years’ horticultural experience, a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens (Horticulture), a manual driver’s licence and full Australian working rights.

Meet Chase 👋

Apprentice
Gardener Improvements Team

As part of our gardener improvements team, Chase loves the fresh air and being outdoors each day.

His favourite type of project is hedging, where attention to detail and shaping work really come together.

Outside of work, Chase keeps busy playing basketball and soccer, along with spending time gaming, painting miniatures, and getting involved in all things nerd culture, including Dungeons & Dragons.

And if he wasn’t doing this? He’d most likely be working in ecology… or welding.

Meet Brooke TOSL Operations Manager 👋

As Operations Manager, Brooke loves that no two days ever look the same. The constantly changing landscape of projects, people, and outdoor spaces is what keeps the role exciting.

His favourite projects are the ones where you can truly watch the original vision come to life and mature beyond expectations over time.

On weekends, Brooke is usually cheering on his kids at sport, tending to his own garden, fitting in a game of tennis, or heading off on a bush walk.

And if he wasn’t doing this? He’d hopefully be relaxing somewhere by a beach in Fiji!

Meet Zac 👋

Apprentice Landscape Construction

As part of our construction team, Zac enjoys the physical side of working outdoors and being hands-on on site each day.

He’s currently learning more about pool plumbing and enjoys building his skills across different areas of landscape construction.

Outside of work, Zac spends his weekends catching up with mates, playing sport on Saturdays, and keeping busy.

And if he wasn’t doing this? You’d probably find him working on cars alongside his dad.

Meet Ben 👋

Team Leader
Garden Improvements Team

Ben enjoys the collaborative side of the job most, working closely with the team and seeing projects evolve and improve over time.

He has a particular interest in formal pruning, along with improving overall plant and lawn health to keep gardens looking their best year-round.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys slowing things down and relaxing when he can, although you’ll often find him hiking or bushwalking whenever the opportunity comes up.

And if he wasn’t doing this? He’d definitely still be doing something outdoors.

As a Team Leader, Damian brings a centred, grounded nature to every project. He enjoys working closely with plants, being out in the sun, and staying connected to nature through his work each day.

He has a particular eye for detail when it comes to hedging and shaping topiaries, especially within more architectural garden designs.

On the weekends, Damian likes to spend time with friends and family, head out for bushwalks, keep active at the gym, or get away camping.

And if he wasn’t doing this? He’d likely be helping others heal and transform through mindset and energy work.
